JAMES JOHNSON

James Johnson is a Cheyenne High School alumnus who went on to achieve success at the highest levels of basketball. A standout multi-sport athlete during his time at Cheyenne, Johnson quickly made a name for himself on the court with his versatility, strength, and competitive edge.

Following his high school career, Johnson continued his basketball journey at Wake Forest University, where he earned All-ACC honors and established himself as one of the top players in the country. His performance led to his selection in the first round of the 2009 NBA Draft (16th overall by the Chicago Bulls).

Johnson has enjoyed a long and accomplished professional career in the National Basketball Association, playing for multiple teams and earning a reputation as a tough, skilled forward known for his defense, playmaking ability, and leadership. Over the course of his career, he has appeared in hundreds of NBA games and been a valuable contributor both on and off the court.

Beyond basketball, Johnson is also known for his dedication to martial arts, holding a black belt and bringing a unique level of discipline and toughness to the game.
