2016 BOYS TENNIS

In 2016, the Sagemont Preparatory School boys tennis team enjoyed another highly successful season, highlighted by dominant postseason performances and prestigious recognition for their coach. The Lions advanced through the playoffs with authority, sweeping Oxbridge Academy 5–0 in the regional semifinals to secure their place among the state’s elite programs. Under the leadership of Coach Steven Browne, the team captured its second consecutive state championship and fourth overall since 2011, cementing a legacy of excellence.

Coach Browne’s efforts did not go unnoticed, as he was honored as the Florida Dairy Farmer’s Association Class 1A Boys Tennis Coach of the Year for guiding his players to sustained success at the highest level of competition. Together, the team’s achievements in 2016 underscored the strength of Sagemont’s tennis program and continued a proud tradition of championship-caliber play.
