KELSEY CALAMARO
CLASS OF 2016
Kelsey Calamaro’s journey from standout high school athlete to collegiate leader is defined by both her athletic achievements and her commitment to excellence. At The Sagemont School in Weston, Florida, she led as captain of both the varsity girls' soccer team and her travel squad, Weston FC. Recognized as MVP in varsity soccer during her junior and senior years, a flag football MVP, and Athlete of the Year, she also earned Student of the Year recognition county-wide and was a first-round Wendy’s Heisman nominee—while consistently excelling academically across honor societies and leadership roles.
Her athletic and academic foundation propelled her to Chatham University, where she played defense for the Cougars, majoring in biology. She made her mark early with dramatic, clutch goals as a freshman, and by senior year, she had become a model of sportsmanship—earning placement on the PAC Sportsmanship Team and the admiration of teammates who praised her positivity, leadership, and dedication to being both a “good student and a good friend.”
