CLASS OF 2023

Eric Vega (Class of 2023) was a dynamic utility player for the Sagemont Prep Lions baseball team, offering speed, versatility, and clutch play. Over his varsity career, Eric appeared in 70 games and slashed .351 batting average, .455 on-base percentage, .434 slugging percentage, and an .890 OPS, tallying 67 hits, 22 RBIs, and 69 runs scored—effort that placed him among the district’s top performers in multiple categories. In his senior season, he hit .274 with 25 runs, 20 hits, and 6 RBIs, while swiping 16 stolen bases, ranking in the top two in District 2A-15 for steals and runs scored. Known for his athleticism and all-around game, Eric continued his baseball and academic journey at Barry University, where he joined their infielder/outfielder corps as a freshman standout—batting .356 with a home run, 14 RBI, 20 runs scored, and a .479 on-base percentage, all while earning Dean’s List and Athletic Director’s List honors.
