Kathyrn Spanos is the Founder and President of Home Field Advantage. The mission of HFA was creating an on-campus All Sports Stadium for the R.J. Reynolds Athletics. Spanos, along with the HFA committee raised over $8 Million dollars in private monies to help fund the Reynolda Practice Field and the M. Douglas Crater Field and Stadium. Spanos, advocated for on-campus athletic facilities at numerous Board of Education meetings, local and state leaders and private donors. In the Fall of 2025, M. Douglas Crater Field and Stadium opened providing R.J. Reynolds an on-campus facility for the first time in 100 years.
