Kirsch volunteered as a sideline physician for football, wrestling and basketball for two decades.

Dr. Kirsch, out of the kindness of his heart, served the football team as their team physician after being noticed caring for injured players of his own free will. Dr. Kirsch had been with RJR since 2001 and had become the team physician for the basketball team and the wrestling team as well. He said his goal was to serve underserved students playing sports at RJR and any other high school in the area and has become a general medicine doctor for many of the underserved students.
