Sue Eidemiller Crowe (1997)
OUTSTANDING ATHLETE

Graduated from Tecumseh High School in 1956. Participated in interscholastic sports offered for girls which included basketball, softball, volleyball and field hockey. When not participating in sports, Sue could be found in the band, choir, glee club, orchestra, Y-Teens and National Honor Society.
While earning her Bachelor of Science Degree with Majors in Mathematics and Physical Education at Wilmington College, Sue participated in intercollegiate sports. Though limited in the sports offered for women, she would play basketball, various intramural groups and softball. Participation through the Cincinnati Recreational League, play would lead Sue to the World Tournament in Richmond Virginia, losing to the World Champs. Attending school year round through a work study program with the Randall Company in Wilmington, Sue made time to be a member of Delta Omega Theta Sorority, hold several offices and referee high school girls basketball games in Clinton, Warren, and Hamilton Counties.
Marrying high school sweetheart and classmate, James M. Crow, THS ‘56, their lives would lead to Angola, Indiana having Sue teach Physical Education at Angola High School. While their she would sponsor the cheerleaders and a large Girls Athletic Association.
As son John, daughter Kathy and another son David, joined the family, the next few years would be spent with children. As with any involved mother, church and community activities led to playing community volleyball and softball, teaching Sunday school, tutoring reading and becoming active in the Pisgah Youth Organization and local PTA.
Teaching Math and Physical Education in the Little Miami Schools in Morrow, Ohio, allowed Sue to enjoy coaching junior high girls basketball. As a active member of the Little Miami Athletic Association, Band Boosters and PTA, many hours would be spent raising funds by working the LPGA Golf Tournaments and ATP Tennis Tournaments by Kings Island.
Winning golf leagues twice in the early 90's and bowling leagues six times between 1983 to 1993, has seen Sue serve as league secretary. As member of the Morrow United Methodist Church, roles as treasurer, administrative board member, financial secretary, pianist, allows her to be an active volunteer. One of those who hasn't learned to "just say no"!
Though most of her life has been being involved as an active parent, her three children have blessed her with seven grandchildren, three boys and four girls.
