Paul Grigsby (2008)

Paul is a 1996 graduate of Tecumseh High School. He started playing football as a 9 year old at Rayner Park for the Wee Arrows.While at Tecumseh he played Football and Wrestled for all 4 years and earned a varsity letter each year he played. Paul played baseball for 1 year and earned a varsity letter.

As a freshman, he earned a varsity letter in Football, Wrestling andBaseball. He earned 2d place at the Central Buckeye Conference (CBC) wrestling tournament.

During his sophomore year he earned 1st team offense for CBC, 1st team offense All County, 1st team offense Clark County, Honorable mention for the Bigger Faster Stronger Magazine and 2nd team Defense South West District. During his sophomore year of wrestling he earned 1" place at the CBC wrestling tournament, 2nd place at the Sectional Tournament, District Qualifier and 1st team All County All-Star.

During his junior year of Football he went down early in the season with an ankle sprain. He came back the last 2 games of the season to lead Tecumseh to an Overtime victory against Springfield Shawnee to improve Tecumseh to their first 6 and 4 season since 1963. We finished second in the CBC. During his junior year of wrestling he earned 1 place at the CBC wrestling tournament, 2nd place at the Sectional Tournament, 2nd place finisher at the District Tournament and was a State Qualifier, where he finished I match short of placing at the state tournament. He finished 2nd team all area, 1st team all Clark County.

During his senior year of Football he helped Tecumseh finish 8-2, falling 1 game shy of making the Division 2 playoffs. He finished 1" team Defense for the CBC, 1st team Defense All County, 2nd team Defense SouthWest District, News and Sun all area and he was selected to play Offense in the MVCA All Star game. During his senior year of wrestling he was ranked 6th in the state by Bryan Brinkman's report and he finished 1st place at theCBC wrestling tournament, 1st place at the Sectional Tournament, 2nd place finisher at the District Tournament and was a State Qualifier, where he finished 1 match short of placing at the state tournament. He was voted top wrestler of the year from the Clark County Wrestlers association. Also, he set school records with an undefeated regular season record, most consecutive season wins at 40, he broke the school's most pin records at 30. He was selected to wrestle in the All Star Division 1 vs. Division 2 match. He was McDonald's student of the week and News Center 7 athlete of the week.

After graduating from Tecumseh, Paul decided to attend Ohio Northern University to play football and wrestle. He played football for 2 years and earned a varsity letter each year. He wrestled for 4 years where he was a 2-time Ohio Athletic Conference runner up. His senior year he earned an Ohio Athletic Conference Championship that advanced him to the NCAA National Tournament. He finished 7th at the 2000 NCAA wrestling championships to earn a NCAA All-American award. He currently holds the fastest pin record at 9 seconds for ONU and he is ranked 7th on their all time career record list.

He graduated from ONU with a Bachelors of Science degree in Business Management. After earning his degree he moved to California to start his career in Medical Staffing. After living in California for 5 years, he ventured to Baltimore for a year. Paul has since moved back to Ohio to start a business in Medical Staffing. He currently resides in Dayton and travels between Cleveland, Columbus, and Cincinnati providing nurses to hospitals through his company called Inverted Healthcare Staffing.
