Jasmine Redman (2021)

Jasmine was born on September 6th, 1993, in Troy, Ohio. Her parents Dan and Erika Seitz moved to New Carlisle when she was 3 years old and she grew up in New Carlisle along with her brother and sister, Justis and Janelle. She graduated from Tecumseh High School in 2011.
In high school, Jasmine competed on the cross-country and track teams. Although, cross country is where she truly excelled. She was named Clark County Runner of the Year in 2009 and 2010. She ran in the Ohio State Cross Country Championships three years in a row. At the State Championships her sophomore year, she ran an 18:56 5k time which placed her 15th, earning a podium finish and second team All-Ohio. This was the first year Tecumseh made it to the state championship as a team and they placed 14th overall. She was the runner up at the Central Buckeye Conference in 2008, 2009 and 2010. She helped the team to a first-place finish at the CBC Championships in 2008, 2009 and 2010 as well. During her senior year she placed 28th at the state championship meet and was on the All-Ohio team.
During her track and field career she was a two-time regional qualifier in the 3200m, 1600m and 4x800m relay. She is still on the record holding team for the 4x800m relay. In 2010, she was the Clark County Champion in the mile, two mile and 4X800m relay as well as the 2011 champion in the mile and two miles. She was a CBC champion in the 4X800m relay and runner up in the mile and two mile in both 2010 and 2011.
Jasmine continued her cross country and track career at BGSU competing at the NCAA Division I level. There, she helped her team to a runner-up finish at the Mid-American Conference Championships. In track, she ran a personal best of 17:01 in the 5k and podiumed at the Mid-American Conference Championships her junior year, which put her in the top ten times ever for the 5k at BGSU.
While at BGSU, Jasmine got her undergrad degree in Sport Management and her master’s degree in Sport Administration. She was able to turn her love for running into a job and currently works as the Event Manager at the Air Force Marathon.
She is honored and very grateful to be inducted into the Tecumseh Athletic Hall of Fame, all thanks to the support of her family, friends, teammates, coaches and school administration.
