Dave Zeller (1995)

Born in Medway, Ohio, the youngest of six children to Arthur and Jessie Zeller.
Graduated from Tecumseh High School in 1957. Played baseball and basketball at Tecumseh. Named to All-Ohio team, senior year in basketball.
Graduated from Miami University in 1961. Played three years of varsity basketball and one year of freshman basketball. Led the conference in scoring his senior year and was Miami's "Most Valuable Player". Was the fifth Miami player to exceed 1000 points, and graduated as the highest scoring guard in Miami history. Was named to the All-Mid-America conference first team by a unanimous vote.
Signed by the Cincinnati Royals of the NBA in the fall of 1961 and spent one season with the Royals.
Returned to Miami University for the fall quarter in 1962 and served as a graduate assistant coach to head coach Dick Shrider during the 1962-63 season.
Received his masterβs degree from Miami University in 1963.
Served as head basketball coach at Northeastern High School in Clark County from the 1963-64 school year until 1969-70. His teams there won three league championships.
Served as head basketball coach at Piqua High School for 23 years, beginning in 1970-71 school year. His teams at Piqua won four league titles and two sectional championships.
He retired from teaching in the spring of 1992 but was immediately hired by Graham High School to head their basketball program.
He is in his fourth year at Graham High School at the present time. His Graham teams have had a three-year regular season record of 54 wins and only six losses. He has won two league titles at Graham and two sectional championships.
Resides in Piqua, Ohio and has one son, Rodd, and three daughters, Lori, Lisa, and Stephanie.
