Michelle Brines
Michelle is the Head Coach for the Varsity Volleyball team and has been the Varsity Head Coach for 26 seasons and counting. Michelle Brines is one of the most accomplished and consistent volleyball coaches in Michigan history. Brines dedicated over three decades to the sport, building a championship culture at Cadillac High School.
Brines compiled an outstanding career record of 1,023 wins, 310 losses, and 54 ties
She coached Cadillac High School for 26 season at the varsity level, spanning 33 years overall.
Under her leadership, Cadillac captured 18 Conference Championships, 19 District Championships, and 14 Regional Championships.
Her teams reached the MHSAA Final Four six times, finishing as Division 2 State Championship Runner-Up in 2022.
Recognized as Region 4 Coach of the Year five times in 2002, 2007, 2012, 2017, and 2018.
Michelle's legacy is defined by over 1,000 wins, consistency, and excellence.
Throughout her athletic career in High School she participated in Basketball, Volleyball, and Track & Field. Her accolades include:
Varsity Basketball 3 years, All Conf 1st Team Senior Year, Captain
Varsity Volleyball 2 years, All Conf. 1st Team, Team won Conference and the first District Title for any Sport at White Pigeon
Varsity Track 4 years All Conference all 4 years, Sturgis Journal Runner of the Year, 3 time State Qualifier Soph. Year 6th in the mile, Junior Year 5th in the mile and 6th in the 800, Senior Year 4th in the 800 & mile and 2nd in the Two Mile Relay Class C. School Record Holder in the mile and 800 (has been broken) but current record holder for the 3200 meter relay that's been standing since 1987)
In college she ran at Michigan State for both the Cross Country and Track teams. Earning 3 Varsity Letters and Treasurer for the Varsity S Club.
