EMILY LAVARNWAY

  • Two-time National Champion

  • Lavarnway earned both her National Championships in the 2021 season.

  • Her first comes from the heptathlon:

  • She began the heptathlon with a first place finish in the 100m hurdles, obtaining a time of 14.19.

  • This was followed by a third place finish in the high jump (1.68m) and a second place in shot put (11.62m), she ended day one with another first place finish in the 200m finishing with a time of 25.37.

  • Continuing the heptathlon the next day of events, she placed first in the long jump with a score of 5.80m, but fell to third place in the overall standings with a 14th place in the javelin (28.68m).

  • She was able to secure first place overall back in the last event, the 800m, scoring a time of 2:17.37 and getting her first National Championship and becoming the first Knight in program history to win the heptathlon.

  • Her second national championship comes from the same NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championship where she won the heptathlon.

  • She led the charge for the women's 4x400 relay team helping lead them to a time of 3:43.19.
