CLASS OF 1973

4 Sport Athlete and also recognized as one of the better all-around

and hardest working athletes in WHS history.

Baseball - led the 1973 19-10 Bulldogs with 11 pitching wins.

Denny also led the team in hitting with a .378 average with 29 RBIs.

Track & Field - 4 year Varsity letterman and participated in the quarter mile, 1 mile, 2 mile and high jump.

Cross Country - 4 year Varsity letterman

Basketball - 2nd in 1973 team scoring average behind Bulldog

HOF player Rocky Huff-Moore.

2nd on team in rebounding and free throw percentage

Awards - 1973 Vernie Moffitt Award winner. 1973 Waterloo Jaycees Most Valuable Baseball Player, 1973 Hustle Award as voted by WHS Coaches, 1973 Metro East Journal All-Heart Team
