INDUCTED 2018

CLASS 1964

3 Sport athlete and also recognized as one of the better all-around athletes in WHS history.

Basketball - 3 year Varsity starter and was the team leader in steals all three years. David led the team in scoring in 1964.

Track & Field - 4 years Varsity letterman and in 1963 was the team MVP after setting the WHS school record in the 220 yd dash with a 22.6 second time. David anchored the 880 relay which established a WHS record that was held for several years.

Baseball - Varsity letters Sophomore, Junior and Senior years as a pitcher and infielder and was a key member of the 1963-64 Hall of

Fame team that went 29-5 and won both the Cahokia and Kaskaskia Conferences. The same team also won the District tournament behind Dave's 10-0 record on the mound and .428 batting average.

Awards - 1963 Jaycee Track athlete of the year

1964 Jaycee Basketball Player of the year

David walked on the Baseball team at Memphis State his Junior year and was a started his Senior year. David went on to be a pilot and flew in the Vietnam War.
