Basketball and Baseball

Member of the Hall of Fame 1952 Basketball team

Received offer from the St. Louis Browns Baseball team

and West Point Military Academy

Accepted Baseball scholarship at SIU Carbondale and

lettered all four years

Had a successful career as a Basketball Coach at Freeburg

High School from 1959-1963
