Larry Bellamy is very proud to be a Winston Churchill Bulldog, Class of 1975. He represents his alma mater everywhere he goes with pride! In his senior year, Mr. Bellamy was a member of the first Bulldog team to get to the State football championship after a 10 – 0 season. He was named to the All-County team and was an All-Met Honorable Mention his senior year. Mr. Bellamy was not only a dominant athlete under the guidance of Coach Fred Shepherd, he then went on to be an integral member of his coaching staff where he served for 13 seasons from 1983 to 1997. He was in charge of filming games, coaching positions, and coached 7 on 7 summer league football games. In addition to coaching football, Mr. Bellamy was also a summer league basketball coach.Mr. Bellamy has proudly worked for Montgomery County Public Schools for 40 years! He has spent the last 20 years at Rockville High School where he is adored by students and staff. He plays a pivotal role in encouraging students with his constant positivity and contagious smile! He is a constant positive force in the lives of not only his children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, but countless other youths that he has coached and mentored throughout his life. When Larry is not representing his Winston Churchill Bulldogs, he is proudly rooting for his Washington Redskins.
