Swimming

• Veatch competed in his signature event, the 200-meter backstroke, finishing in 7th place in the final with a time of 2:02.26 at the 1988 Seoul Olympics.

• 1986 World Championships: He won a Gold Medal as part of the 4x100-meter medley relay team in Madrid.

• Pan Pacific Championships: He was a dominant force in the late 80s, winning Gold in the 200-meter backstroke in both 1987 (Brisbane) and 1989 (Tokyo). He also earned a relay gold in 1987.

• 1991 Pan American Games: He served as the men's team captain and won a Silver Medal in the 200-meter backstroke.
