• A highly decorated American former soccer player who was a cornerstone of the U.S. Men’s National Team (USMNT) during the late 1980s and early 1990s. He was inducted into the National Soccer Hall of Fame in 2011.

• Represented the U.S. in the 1988 Seoul Olympic games.

• At the time of his retirement from international play in 1993, Murray was the all-time leader for the United States in both caps (85) and goals (21).
