2020-21 Recipient

Katie Hoeg (Mattituck, N.Y.) completed her athletic career as one of the most decorated players in UNC women’s lacrosse history. The four-time All-America honoree is the Tar Heels’ all-time leader in points and assists and currently ranks second in NCAA history for career assists. She was named the co-National Player of the Year by Inside Lacrosse in 2020 and became just the second UNC women’s lacrosse student-athlete in history to be selected for Academic All-America honors from the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) in 2020. Also a recipient of the NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship, Hoeg plans to continue her academic career as a Tar Heel at UNC’s School of Dentistry where she will work towards an advanced degree in oral surgery.
