Cedric Drenth (Sulzbach, Germany / Altkönigschule Kronberg) concluded his collegiate career on the Wayne State men’s tennis team as the program’s all-time leader in both singles victories (106) and doubles wins (122). A three-time ITA Doubles All-American, two-time ITA Singles All-American, and a two-time recipient of the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Player of the Year Award for men’s tennis, Drenth helped the Warriors reach three consecutive NCAA quarterfinal appearances in his four seasons at WSU. Elite in the classroom as well, the finance major maintained a 3.966 cumulative grade point average, which resulted in Drenth being named both the College Sports Communications Division II Men’s Tennis Team Member of the Year and the GLIAC Commissioner’s Award recipient two times each.
