PATRICK "PAT" MANAHAN

Pat is a DCHS graduate from the class of 1973. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Garald F. Manahan, and was coached by Dick Campbell.

Pat holds the distinction of being the first Oracle to ever have his number, 34, retired from use on March 6, 1973. Upon graduation he attended Purdue University and was a member of the basketball team. He transferred from Purdue and graduated from Colorado State University where he also played basketball. Pat met his wife Susan while in Colorado, and obtained his Doctorate of Jurisprudence prior to returning to Delphi and practicing law.

At graduation, the 6' 4" Forward was the statistical leader in nearly every basketball category. The 1973 Indiana All-Star and High School All-American lead the state in scoring as a Senior with 34.9 pts/game. As a Junior he was Indiana's leading junior scorer with 31.3 pts/game. His career average of 30.6 pts/game is even more impressive considering it predated the adoption of the three point line.
