Don ran track and played football, basketball and baseball at Taylor. In his Senior year, 1939, he was a member of the Regional Championship Baseball Team. He received a full Baseball Scholarship to Butler University, but turned it down to play Professional Baseball. Don played for Cleveland, Milwaukee, Baltimore and the Brooklyn Dodgers before retiring in 1950. Don ran track and played football, basketball and baseball at Taylor.
