'76 '02 Tennis | Basketball | Track

Janet played varsity tennis, basketball, and track & field for Taylor during her career at Taylor from 1973-1976. In tennis she played both singles and doubles and received the 3-Rivers Jaycees Athletic Award in tennis in 1976. Jan played 3 years of varsity basketball and was a starting forward all three years. During her senior year Janet's team reached the regional semi-finals in the First Annual State of Ohio Basketball Tournament. In track & field, Janet participated in the high jump, hurdles, and relays. In 1975, her 880-Medley-Relay Team placed 6th in the 1st Annual Ohio State Track and Field Championships. In 1976, she participated in the State Meet in the Mile-Relay. Janet was awarded the VFW Girls Appreciation Award for Outstanding Girl Athlete in 1976.
