'76 '02 Tennis | Basketball | Track

Joanne played varsity tennis, basketball, and track & field for Taylor during her career at Taylor from 1973-1976. In tennis she played both singles and doubles. Jo played 3 years of varsity basketball and was a starting forward all three years. During her senior year Joanne's team reached the regional semi-finals in the First Annual Girf's Ohio State Basketball Tournament. In track & field, Janet participated in the high jump, hurdles, and relays. In 1975, her 880-Medley-Relay Team placed 6th in the First Annual Ohio State Track and Field Championships and she also ran with the 440-Relay leam at State. In 1976, she participated in the State Meet in the Mile-Relay. As a senior, Jo was named MVP for Girl's Track and Field and she was also named the Jaycees Track Athlete of the Year.
