Irene's Sports Background • 1983-1997 Volunteered to coach Taylor girls slow -pitch softball. Earl's Sports Background • 1970-2000 officiated high school, district and state track and cross country meets • Member of the United States Track and Field Organization • 1996 selected to officiate the olympics in Atlanta for time trials and Senior Olympics • 1991-1992 volunteered to help coach track with Jim and Darlene West Number 1 Fans • 1950-1965 Attended Taylor home football and basketball games • 1965-1969 Attended all home and away football, basketball and track meets • 1972-1975 Attended all home and away volleyball, boys basketball and soflball games including a few cross country meets • 2003-2005 Earl attended home and away volleyball, boys and girls basketball, softball games and cross country meets • 2006-2017 Earl aftended home and away volleyball, boys and girls basketball and softball games • Annual JH Track Meet named Earl Huffman Invitational • Eafl Huffman Award given each year to one female and male athlete • Giant Flag in Gym honors Earl for his service to the country he loved, the USA!
