Debbie was a 1983 graduate who acquired 11 varsity letters: basketball (3), volleyball (4), and softball (4). She was team captain in all three sports her senior year. She was selected MVP three times in basketball and once in softball. She also received the Dennis Seaver Ath-Demic Award in 1983. Debbie received numerous all-star recognitions. She was all-league in basketball 1980-'81, '81-'82 and '82-'83; volleyball 1981-'82 and softball '81, '82 and '83. Her all-city awards were Cincinnati Enquirer basketball '80-'81 and '91-'82, Cincinnati Post '80-'81 and first team '81-82 and '82-'83. She participated in the Greater Cincinnati all-star basketball game in 1983. To top off her basketball career at Taylor, Debbie received honorable mention UP all-Ohio A and was nominated to the McDonald's all-Ohio team. Debbie was also named all-city Cincinnati Enquirer volleyball in '82 and Ohio Valley Coaches all-star team in '83. The volleyball teams she played on advanced to the district tournament in 1980, '81 and '82. The 1981 team was district runner-up. Debbie received a volleyball/softball scholarship to Northern Kentucky University where she played both sports for four years.
