'63 '01 Football | Baseball | Track

While earning 14 Varsity letters he was one of the last people to earn a "Winged T" which accomplishes 4 letters in one year! A quarterback in football, he scored 21 touchdowns his senior year and scored a record 6 touchdowns against Norwood. He was also the punter and kickoff returner. He was all-county, all city 2 years in a row and All-State his senior year. In baseball, Larry was the 2nd baseman in the 1962 State Champion baseball team, he still holds the single season base stealing record! In track, Larry was the 1962 Hamilton County most valuable trackman in winning the first place in the 100 yard dash, 220 yard dash, long jump, and 180 low hurdles. He qualified for the state meet 2 years in a row. Larry still holds the school record in the low hurdles and 220 yard dash. A diver on the swim team, Larry was a charter member. He placed fifth in the County in 1961 Larry played quarterback and halfback at Ashland University from 1963-1967.
