Michelle was one of the most determined and all-around talented female athletes at THS. Michelle was a great performer in Soccer, Basketball, Track and Softball from 1985-1989. Not touching a basketball until 8th grade, its amazing the accomplishments Michelle achieved in the game of Basketball for Taylor High School. Playing little varsity her Freshman year, she was a varsity starter for three years. With determination and confidence, she broke Jule Franz's career scoring record, setting a new career high of 1058 points her senior year. She was Western Metro All- League Honorable Mention and Free Throw leader her sophomore year Ist Team All- League her junior year and her senior year she was 1st Team All-League and a member of the West Side All-Star League Team, scoring 25 points in the tournament game. Being nominated for the All-Star Team stemmed from the Taft game. Taft wanted to shut her scoring down by defending her hard; Michelle scored 33 points in that game, 31 points being Free Throws. She was chosen Cincinnati Enquirer Outstanding Performer of the Week numerous times and made it in the Buddy LaRosa's Sports Hall of Fame. She ended her career with an average of 23.3 points per game, 37 Career High in a Game, 419 points seasonal high her senior year, Chairman of the Boards 12.2 and Best at the Stripe 70.1%. Dedicating her development to a great coach Mr. Gary Vaughn. Michelle also succeeded in soccer for 4 years. She achieved All League Honors her Freshman year and Western Metro All-Star her Junior year and ended with a senior record high of 14 goals in a season and 50 Careen Goals, 5 Career High in a Game. Michelle threw Shot Put and Discus her freshman year and rounded out her junior and senior with Softball, pitcher and infielder. Michelle was definitely an all around athlete. Playing numerous sports and achieving many honors, Michelle was an incredible individual player as well as a great team player.
