Arthur is a 1977 graduate with five varsity letters. He earned three in basketball and two in baseball. His high school athletic career was highlighted when he was selected captain of Coach Gary Vaughn's basketball teams his junior and senior years. Arthur was an impact player in basketball leading his team in scoring and rebounding for two seasons. He received MVP honors both years. As a junior he averaged 18.1 points and 10 rebounds per game. His senior year he led the city of Cincinnati in scoring with an average of 25.4 points. He combined his scoring ability with 16.3 rebounds per contest which placed him third in the city. Arthur received numerous all-star recognitions. He was first all-league his junior and senior seasons. IN the '76-77 season he was selected first team all-city in the Cincinnati Post and second team in the Enquirer. He also played in the all-city East/West all-star game and in the North/South all-state competition. He was selected to the second team all-state in the same year. After high school, Arthur went on to participate on basketball teams at Dalton Junior College in Dalton, Georgia, and Findlay College in Ohio. At the present time Arthur lives in Cushing, Oklahoma, where he is senior pastor at Covenant Fellowship Church. He and his wife of twenty-five years, Joyce, have two daughters, Amanda and Victoria, and a grandson, Kayden. Arthur is a 1977 graduate with five varsity letters.
