Tim played football and baseball for the Yellow Jackets from 1972-1975 when Taylor was a three year high school. He received 3 Varsity letters in each sport. On the football team he played halfback and handled the duties of punter and kicker. He was the co-captain of the team his senior year. Tim was an outstanding baseball player. His senior year he batted .609 and was city batting champion in 1975. Tim was the winning pitcher in the Hamilton County National Division All-Star game. He also played in the East-West All-Star game and received The Cincinnati Post-Timestar Sports All-Star award. He was featured in Buddy LaRosa Sports in The Cincinnati Enquirer. Tim received a baseball scholarship to the University of Cincinnati where he played for Coach Glenn Sample. He was co-captain and M.V.P. Of the 1979 team. He led the Metro Conference in hitting with a .398 average which placed him in the top 20 in the NCAA.
