Gary attended Taylor from 1978-1982. He earned 9 Varsity letters in football (3), basketball (3), and baseball (3). He was the quarterback on the football team and received Honorable mention, All-League and All-City in 1981. Gary was a guard on the basketball team and lead the 1981-1982 team with 140 assists. Baseball was his favorite sport. He led his team with a. 497 batting average. In 1981 he received M.V.P. Honors. Topping off his baseball career, he made 1st team 3rd base Hamilton County and Honorable mention All-City in 1982. Gary received the Dennis Seaver Ath-Demic Award and the Bob Cavanaugh Award for Best Athlete in 1982.
