Barry Mizzell is the athletic director at Blythewood High School and a longtime leader in the school’s athletic community, having previously served as a championship baseball coach. Since taking over as AD, he has worked tirelessly to promote the overall athletic department and has overseen major improvements to facilities that have had a huge impact on all programs.

Barry is intentional about bringing the entire town of Blythewood together to support every sport, encouraging fans not only to show up for teams but also to support local businesses. Under his leadership, the department emphasizes sportsmanship through a fan pledge and has made a strong effort to elevate and promote every women’s sport possible, reflecting his commitment to all student-athletes.
