Michael “Del” Del Aversano exemplifies unwavering leadership, integrity, and dedication in his work with Spotswood athletics. In addition to serving as the district’s athletic director, he is also a high school counselor and the district’s safety specialist, creating a supportive, well-organized environment where programs can thrive while also prioritizing student safety and well-being. Del played a key role in designing and implementing a referendum project that delivered new turf fields and stadium lighting for baseball, soccer, and football, helping build a true “Friday Night Lights” tradition in a small community.

He constantly promotes “Charger Pride” by using social media to share team updates, alumni highlights, and accomplishments across Facebook, X, and Instagram. Trusted by both coaches and students, Del is known for being available at any hour—whether it’s staying late for events or providing extra academic and athletic support.
