Matthew Trahan is a longtime athletic director at Old Colony who works tirelessly to create the best possible experience for his student-athletes and coaching staff. He provides leadership opportunities for students and ensures they have a shared voice within the athletic department, grounded in a culture where every coach is expected to treat players with respect and as young adults.

Over the years, he has helped build a strong leadership and service framework that includes a Leadership Breakfast open forum, Captains Council, Summer Leadership Huddle, an open-door policy in the athletic department, and the Cougar Athletics Community Service Group. Known for rolling up his sleeves, getting his hands dirty, and always chipping in wherever needed, he quietly models the standard he expects from everyone around him.
