Casey Wila embodies the role of athletic director, leading with patience, empathy, and thoughtful guidance in every interaction. When a visibly upset student-athlete recently came to him, Casey immediately took time to speak with him one-on-one, responded with genuine compassion, took the right steps to get him support, and will continue to keep an eye on him to make sure he’s okay. He is known for his responsiveness and grace, consistently returning calls and emails and answering questions with patience, even when the answers could be easily found elsewhere.

In just over a year, Casey has also led meaningful operational improvements, including transitioning the registration process to a more efficient and cost-effective system. At only 31, his resilience, maturity, and commitment to listening to all sides before making decisions have made a strong impression on his school community.
