Nic Kearfott is completely committed to providing the best environment for student-athletes, coaches, and fans at Normal Community High School. He is constantly seeking feedback from players and coaches to improve facilities, which not only elevates the spaces they compete in but also builds strong relationships where people feel valued, heard, and part of something larger than themselves. Known as an outstanding listener, Nic is responsive to anyone who approaches him and uses that input to find new ways to involve the entire learning community in athletics and beyond. A forward-thinking leader, he has helped redesign the basketball gym floor with staff input, integrated athletic livestreaming in partnership with the journalism program—now recognized by the State of Illinois—and unified the school’s social media presence using Gipper templates that have dramatically increased engagement. Balancing his role as both parent and building leader, Nic is also a respected voice among his fellow athletic directors.
