National Trail High School

Troy Ferguson pours his heart into creating meaningful opportunities for National Trail students and student-athletes, always focused on making their experiences as strong as possible. He helped bring major excitement and visibility to the school by leading National Trail into the Top 25 finalists for the T-Mobile Friday Night 5G Lights contest, and he launched ATLAS (Athletes at Trail Leading and Serving), a student-athlete leadership group that also runs the ESPYs-style year-end Boone’s Best banquet.

Troy has expanded access to athletics by helping start a girls wrestling team, giving students who had never been part of a team a place to thrive, and supporting a para swimmer who went on to place third at the state para meet. He also pilots mental strength training for the boys basketball program and recently earned his CMAA and completed the QPA program—all while quietly avoiding the spotlight, doing the work without seeking recognition.
