Truckee High School

Jim Bennett has spent more than two decades serving Truckee High School as both a classroom teacher and multi-sport coach, and now as an athletic director who pours that same dedication into every program. After 10 years as activities director and three as AD, he has focused on building school pride and a positive culture in the hallways, classrooms, and on every field. Jim navigates the unique challenge of being a California school competing in Nevada under NIAA rules, ensuring Truckee’s athletes are supported and compliant in two systems. While football naturally draws much of the community spotlight, he has made it a priority to champion and assist all other teams so every athlete feels valued. He is also in the process of building a Truckee Hall of Fame to honor the legacy of past and present contributors to the program.
