Erich Frombach’s dedication to Avon athletics and the broader Lorain County and Northeast Ohio community has been unquestioned for more than two decades. As a mentor to young coaches and their student-athletes, he has helped shape programs that consistently achieve team and individual success at the conference, district, regional, and state levels. Erich is known for taking the time to get to know all Avon students—not just athletes—and plays an active role in leading both the school’s Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Unified Sports team, reflecting his genuine care for every young person in the building.

His student-centered perspective extends to his longtime service in the NEOIAAA and OIAAA, where he brings the athlete’s experience to the forefront. Even after retiring, the district brought him back— a testament to his impact, track record, and unwavering commitment to Avon Local Schools.
