Over more than two decades in athletic administration, Drew Grahl has built a culture at Margaretta where students, coaches, and families feel supported, trusted, and valued. He is known for empowering others—handing over major projects like the complete revamp of the Margaretta athletics website and the management of OHSAA tournament events, then quietly stepping back so his colleagues can shine.

Grahl plays a central role in community initiatives such as the “Pack the Pond” tailgate, which helped turn Margaretta’s first home football playoff game since 2002 into a true community celebration. Just as importantly, he checks in on the people around him during their hardest seasons, leading with compassion, humility, and a genuinely “selfless” approach that has made him the standard by which other athletic directors are measured.
