BRIAN RADO

Athletic Director

Mandarin High School, Duval County

For more than a decade, Brian Rado has used Gipper as a powerful tool to elevate Mandarin High School athletics and the wider Duval County community. One of the first athletic directors in Northeast Florida to embrace the platform, he even presented its impact to fellow district ADs, inspiring many schools to adopt it and transform how they communicate with stakeholders. At Mandarin, Brian uses Gipper to spotlight every program and every stakeholder—promoting contests and highlights while also celebrating student-athletes, coaches, and business partners who contribute to the success of Mustang athletics.

His consistent, weekly storytelling reflects a culture that values character, community, and the lifelong impact of high school sports far beyond wins and losses. After 25 years as an educator, Brian’s work is fueled by genuine joy in working with students and sharing their stories with the world.
