Concord Community Schools

Matt has served the Concord community with unwavering dedication since 1993, contributing as a teacher, coach, Principal, Dean of Students, and for over two decades, Athletic Director.

Under his leadership, Concord—despite being one of the smallest districts in the region—established a dominant social media presence, surpassing larger schools and colleges through innovative use of Gipper.

Throughout his tenure, Matt championed equity and inclusivity in athletics by ensuring all student-athletes had access to resources, opportunities, and support. He strengthened the culture of Concord athletics through shared core values, leadership development programs, and strong community engagement. His efforts extended beyond the school, most notably through his role in creating and organizing Concord Classic Weekend, a community festival that continues to grow in pride and participation.

In addition to his impact locally, Matt has served as Region 6 Athletic Director Representative for the MIAAA, providing professional development and collaboration for more than 50 athletic directors. He also contributes to statewide leadership through committee work with the MHSAA.
