KRISTEN SHELTON

Assistant Athletic Director

Prosper ISD

Kristen Shelton is a servant-leader who plays a pivotal role in shaping the culture and consistency of athletics across Prosper ISD. During the launch of the brand-new Richland campus, she met individually with every head coach to identify program needs, then secured equipment, practice space, and community partnerships so that every sportβ€”from football to swim, volleyball to water poloβ€”could start the year with confidence and support. She drives long-term growth through initiatives like the Texas Way and the Quad A program for aspiring athletic administrators, giving coaches across all sports access to leadership development, mentorship, and clear pathways to advance.

Kristen also models hands-on leadership by helping prepare the football stadium on game days and creating weekly collaboration between middle school and high school staffs, building a unified pipeline for student-athletes. As a single mom balancing demanding responsibilities at home and at work, she is a powerful example of perseverance, compassion, and what it means to lead with both excellence and heart.
