Angela Spurlock is a servant-leader whose influence is felt across every corner of Katy ISD athletics. With more than two decades in education-based sports, she has built systems that prioritize growth, accountability, and well-being for both student-athletes and coaches. Angela is known for creating structures that make programs stronger and more sustainable—streamlined communication, cross-campus collaboration, and student-centered initiatives that help athletes feel supported, challenged, and seen. She is a fierce advocate for equity, working to ensure that every program—regardless of size, sport, or spotlight—has fair access to facilities, resources, and opportunities, especially for underrepresented athletes. Beyond campus, Angela forges meaningful partnerships with local businesses, health professionals, and community organizations, bringing in added mentorship, education, and support that extend far beyond what most districts offer. Her work consistently elevates not just teams and seasons, but the entire school community—leaving a lasting impact that goes well beyond the court.
