BRAD FISHER
Athletic Director
RJ Reynolds High School
Brad has consistently elevated R.J. Reynolds athletics through visionary leadership that strengthens programs, supports coaches, and builds a community-centered culture of excellence. He has expanded the school’s presence across Winston-Salem by organizing high-impact events—signing days, senior nights, and major community games—while fostering strong partnerships with the Booster Club to ensure equitable support for every sport. His commitment to communication, welcoming game-day environments, and positive representation of Reynolds and WS/FCS has increased attendance, boosted alumni engagement, and renewed pride in the Demon community.
A champion of student safety and equity, Brad established a comprehensive Emergency Action Plan that standardizes expectations for all sports and venues. Through consistent training for coaches, trainers, and staff, he ensures that every student—regardless of sport or background—receives the same high level of care and protection. His clear cultural expectations, detailed Coaches Handbook, and commitment to professionalism and fairness have unified programs, strengthened relationships, and built a shared identity that reflects the values of the entire school community.
Brad’s most transformative achievement came through his leadership in the more-than-13-year effort to bring R.J. Reynolds its first true on-campus stadium. At a Title I, inner-city school that had spent a century without home facilities, Brad partnered with Home Field Advantage, Inc. and district leaders to make the project a reality—providing a long-overdue, equitable, and accessible home for football, soccer, lacrosse, JROTC, band, and more. The stadium stands as a historic milestone that reshaped opportunities, pride, and identity for generations of students.
