Cole Kanyer is a servant leader whose dedication extends far beyond his school, impacting the Washington State Athletic Association, District 5, and the CWAC 2A conference. He has hosted sportsmanship and leadership conferences for all nine league schools, providing over 200 student-athletes with professional guidance to help them achieve their academic, athletic, and community goals. His leadership and vision have strengthened not only his own programs but also the broader league, fostering growth, collaboration, and excellence across the district.

A tireless advocate for equity, Cole champions underrepresented schools and students, raising concerns about social injustices at WIAA meetings and pushing for meaningful change. As both an athletic director and high school principal, he mentors colleagues, uplifts every team, and models integrity and dedication. A certified CMAA and CAA professional and award-winning WIAA Athletic Director of the Year, Cole’s unwavering commitment to students, coaches, and community has left an enduring impact, while also serving as an inspiration to all who work alongside him.
