John has used Gipper to extend the reach and impact of his athletic department, highlighting the accomplishments of every student-athlete and fostering a culture of equity and recognition. Since 2019, he has worked tirelessly to elevate opportunities for all athletes, partnering with local organizations to secure over $20,000 in grants to provide healthy meals for students who return home late from practices and games, ensuring nutrition is never a barrier to performance or well-being.

John’s commitment to community is equally impressive. He helped establish the school’s first All-Sport Booster Club, creating a system that celebrates every athlete, from freshman to varsity, through Media Days, team posters, and Senior Day banners. The club also funds mini-grants for teams with limited resources, ensuring equitable access to equipment and opportunities. Balancing teaching three chemistry classes and managing a 2,400-student school without a full-time secretary or assistant athletic director, John exemplifies unwavering dedication, servant leadership, and a profound commitment to every student-athlete.
