Brian Young is being nominated for the Gipper Hall of Fame for the way he has elevated school pride and community connection across PUSD. In less than a year as AD, he has used Gipper to dramatically boost awareness of athletic programs and “shatter” previous social media engagement, making it easier than ever for families and fans to follow and celebrate student success. Beyond digital promotion, Brian writes monthly columns in the local newspaper to reach all ages in the community and build broader support for school sports. On campus, he unites the student body through themed game days and intentional support for athletics, theater, band, cheer, and student government, ensuring every group feels seen.

From locker room signs for visiting teams to snacks for officials and special events for students, he leads through thoughtful, behind-the-scenes details that make the experience better for everyone.
