CHRISTINA FITZPATRICK

Athletic Director

Albert Einstein High School

Christina Fitzpatrick is being nominated for the Gipper Hall of Fame for the way she has transformed and stabilized athletics at Albert Einstein High School through tireless behind-the-scenes work and intentional, student-centered leadership. In addition to managing every sport on campus, she has personally taken on complex operational challenges—like spending hours each day untangling eligibility, roster, and equipment issues in the football program—to ensure standards are upheld and athletes are cared for. Christina is deeply committed to access and inclusion, upholding MCPS’s R.A.I.S.E. core values by creating opportunities for LFI students, meeting with LGBTQ+ athletes to ensure they feel respected and safe, and strengthening a majority-minority athletics program.

Through expanded fundraisers like the annual mulch sale and year-round outreach efforts, she keeps athletes connected to their community. Her consistent support of athletes and coaches, both professionally and personally, has fundamentally reshaped how the athletics program engages with the entire school.
