Brian Samulski is being nominated for the Gipper Hall of Fame for building one of the most respected athletic programs in Michigan while keeping the focus firmly on students, not himself. Under his leadership, Northville has earned 12 Division 1 state championships in three years and has twice been named MLive’s #1 athletic program in the state, driven by his commitment to hiring, developing, and supporting great coaches. A passionate advocate for inclusion, Brian helped make Northville one of the first Unified Champion School Districts in Michigan and co-created the groundbreaking Mentally Strong Mustangs program, which provides well-being support to athletes and fine arts students.

He also leads twice-monthly leadership meetings and celebrates student character through his “Win the Day” recognition. Colleagues describe him as a humble professional whose work is always about the athletes, families, and coaches he serves.
